Congratulations on your engagement! Weddings are an exciting time of our lives and part of that excitement is the luxury of having your make up professionally applied!
As a full time makeup artist, I am face to face with a wide range of clients on a regular basis. During the week I am on set with models and boudoir clients, which means I am keenly aware how my makeups look and perform on a number of skin types and facial shapes in a number of lighting settings and angles. What does this mean for you as a bridal client? It means your makeup will suit your features, be long wearing, look fabulous in person, and look great in photos.
I work with you from the time of booking right up to the wedding day to ensure you look your best. Upon booking you will receive my pre-appointment skin care preparation list, which has some fantastic information and answers the most common questions brides have leading up to their wedding. At your trial we will create the perfect wedding look and discuss any skin care concerns, if necessary, creating a personalized action plan to ensure you look your best on your big day.
QUALITY - I use professional products that I trust to perform and look their best, with an emphasis on being suitable for sensitive skin and being cruelty free. And of course, cleanliness and sanitation of my kit and tools goes hand in hand with professionalism.
40% retainer required upon booking
All prices are on location within the City of Saskatoon
I have no limits on the number of services to be performed. I've done weddings where I've only done the bride, and I have done large wedding parties. The only limit is the time we have available to us. So if there are more people requiring makeup than I can physically complete in your time frame I will hire a makeup artist I trust to assist me at the same rates as listed above.
Similarly, there is no limit on who can get their makeup done. I suggest that at least the bride and her bridal party have their makeup professionally applied so that everyone looks cohesive and flawless in the photos. I am happy to book additional family members or friends who would also like makeup services on that day at the listed rates.
Travel to your location within city limits is included in the application pricing. For appointments outside of Saskatoon a travel fee of $0.85/km applies for each artist travelling. At this time we have a limit of 30km one way on out of town appointments to ensure we can make it to our other clients that day. If you feel you are close to this distance and would like to book us, please phone the studio at (306) 361-5618 to discuss.
I have a fully mobile set up including a table, tall makeup chair, and makeup light. Most hotel rooms have a suitable spot to set up in a corner near a window. If the location to do the application is a private residence, a quiet bedroom or other area of the house away from the hustle and bustle that comes with a wedding day is beneficial to create a relaxing atmosphere.
If you require your makeup application at a salon, please get permission from the salon owner to have me work in their location. Be advised that some salons may not let freelance makeup artists work in their space.
I highly recommend a trial of the bride's makeup to ensure that you are 100% happy with your chosen look on your wedding day. The trial is also a time to work out any indecision you may have on colours or different aspects of your look. It also gives us a chance to meet, and for me to get to know your skin and what products will work best for your big day.
You may find it helpful to bring inspiration photos of looks that you want. Don't get too hung up on if the model has a different eye or face shape, or different skin colour than your own. What we will discuss is what aspect of the look draws you to it, and then we will tailor those inspiration images to create your own look. Many brides also find it helpful to look at photos of actual brides on their wedding days, rather than zoomed in Instagram/Pintrest photos that show only one specific feature at a time.
Most brides like to have their makeup trial on the same day as their hair trial, approximately 1 month before the wedding date.
